This guide provides University of Chicago 1Ls with the tools you need to succeed in your first year. Each page in this guide corresponds to a course you will take during your 1L year. On these pages, you will find tools that aid your understanding of the challenging concepts that will form the bedrock of your legal education.  

Please take note of the librarian who is assigned to your Bigelow section. These are not your only contacts in the library--every single librarian and staff member in the D'Angelo Law Library is dedicated to helping you succeed during your first year of law school and beyond. Your library liaison is simply the librarian you will see the most in your Bigelow classes and will be reaching out to you periodically throughout your first year to ensure that you are on track with your legal research skills.
