ICPSR
ICPSR (The Inter-University Consortium for Political and Social Research) is a repository of social science data that has been shared by researchers. It contains public opinion polls, longitudinal studies, census data, and more.
Along with data, ICPSR includes citations for articles and books that cite ICPSR data. You can search for publications that relate to specific variables in these open data sets, which may be helpful for your course.

General Social Survey (NORC)Contains a standard 'core' of demographic, behavioral, and attitudinal questions, plus topics of special interest. Many of the core questions have remained unchanged since 1972 to facilitate time-trend studies as well as replication of earlier findings.
