Transportation in Hyde Park

Campus Shuttle:

The University of Chicago is served by the UGo Shuttles. You can find your shuttle with the Transloc app, or visit the Transloc webpage to find stops and view the current location of shuttles. The 171/172 (CTA):

The 171 and 172 CTA buses serve Hyde Park and are free to all with a UChicago ID

Transportation in Chicago

The Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) is Chicago's public transit system. Below are the routes that take you in and out of Hyde Park:

Green Line "L": From 63rd and Cottage Grove, to the Loop and then west towards Harlem

Red Line "L": From Garfield (55th street) north through downtown then north to Howard (Take the 55 or 59 buses to get here)

2 Hyde Park Express: From 60th/Cottage Grove to Navy Pier. Rush hour only

4 Cottage Grove: 115th/Cottage Grove north to Columbus/S. Water

15 Jeffery Local: 103rd/Stony Island north to 47th/Dan Ryan

28 Stony Island: 103rd/Stony Island north to 47th/Lake Park

55 Garfield: Museum of Science & Industry west to Midway (take this to the Red Line from north campus)

59 59th/61th: 60th/Stony Island west to Midway (take this to the Red Line from south campus)

63 63rd Street: Midway and 63/Stony Island
