Undergraduate Student Life

Academic Resources

College Advisers: Every undergraduate is assigned a college adviser to help design an appropriate program of study during their time at the U of C.

Harper Tutors: From 7-11 pm you can find tutors to help you with work in scientific and quantitative subjects (chemistry, economics, mathematics, biology, statistics, physics and computer science).

Writing Tutors: We all need to work on our writing. Each and every one of us. The U of C provides trained tutors to help you with whatever piece of writing you may be working on. Make an appointment!

Center for College Student Success: The CCSS exists to support and connect students, particularly first generation and under-resourced backgrounds, to resources needed for some courses. Need to borrow a laptop? They got it! Expensive textbook? You can check one out! (Note: certain materials are first-come first-serve).

Academic Skills Assessment Program: Nobody expects you to come to college with all the skills required to ace your classes. It takes work, and this program will help get to where you need to be. This program addresses issues with time management, test anxiety, exam preparation and more.

Student Disability Services: The U of C is committed to supporting and accommodating students with physical, learning and psychological disabilities.

Student Ombudsperson: Like with any university, it can be difficult to deal with the U of C at times. You have an ombudsperson to help you through conflicts, concerns and other problems you may encounter at the U of C.
