How do I find Electronic Full-Text Sources (EFTS)

Electronic Full-Text Sources (EFTS)

Welcome

 Border of lizards and EFTS

This EFTS guide directs patrons to "searchable" encoded texts, where one finds added value through semantic indexing and a variety of search functions. Examples include American Film Scripts Online, Diderot's Encyclopédie, English Poetry, Italian Women Writers, the Patrologia Latina Database, North American Women's Letters and Diaries, Thesaurus Linguae Graecae, and more.

We provide links to some central Web sites which collect and index texts such as Project Gutenberg, but our general policy has been only to link directly to "searchable" texts.

See also pages on the Library's Research Guides for more subject specific information and/or visit Special Collections for primary sources.

Purchase Request

The Library welcomes suggestions for the acquisition of materials which support the University's teaching and research programs.

Use this form to submit a request.
It will be routed to the appropriate subject specialist for consideration.

Off-campus Access

Almost all Library databases can be accessed from off-campus. The easiest way to do this is to use links from the Library website. You will then be prompted for your CNetID and password to authenticate yourself as an authorized user.

If you find sources through Google Scholar or other search engines, you may not automatically get access to Library resources. Use the ProxyIt bookmarklet or Libkey Nomad in these situations. There's more information on these in our guide to off-campus access.
