Mintel has updated their interface to make it more streamlined and usable on multiple types of devices. The same content is available, but will look much sleeker. The change does affect how you can save reports -- academic clients must create an individual account and can no longer download an entire report as a PDF. There are still ways to save content, which we detail below.
You can search Mintel and access reports without registering. You will need to create an account if you want to save parts of reports or data tables. You must use a UChicago or Chicago Booth email. Creating an account and logging in is easiest when you first connect to Mintel
If you don't see that link, click on "Account Settings" at the top right of the screen.
If this says University of Chicago, click on "My account and meet the team" On the next page, choose update your details to go to the login screen.
Mintel does not allow downloading of entire reports as PDFs. You can add sections of a report to your personal selections, and then download that as a PowerPoint deck. Click the add to presentation button on any section
Choose a name and then add a section. When you are ready to download, click the My Presentations icon in the right side
We are currently having an issue where the system says "My Presentations is not available for Mintel Reports." This is incorrect and we are working with Mintel to correct it
Mintel reports include the full survey instrument and responses as part of a report. You can view do some analysis online, but you can also download the entire file for your own use. You must be logged in to do this.
Click on the Chart icon in the Table of Contents on the left. That will open an Interactive Databook. Click the Download arrow on the right to save the full Excel workbook.
