Website Access to News Sources

A guide on how to set up website access to news sources available through the University of Chicago Library.

Register for a WSJ.com Account

All current students, faculty and staff are eligible for Wall Street Journal accounts. Login with your CNetID and password to verify your status. You can then register using any email address. Our subscription includes access to the Android and iOS apps.

You can also use this link to access the WSJ without registering. Registering with an email is necessary to use the apps, however.

Personal subscribers who wish to cancel and use the Library subscription can do so by calling Wall Street Journal support
1-800-JOURNAL

Reverifying an Account

You may need to reverify your UChicago status on occasion. Follow these steps:

  • Delete cookies by entering www.wsj.com/delete_cookies on the address bar of the browser
  • Log out by entering www.wsj.com/logout on the address bar of the browser
  • Clear your browser cache
  • After your cookies and cache have been cleared, visit the UChicago sign-in page

If you are unable to log into the app, follow those steps and use the WSJ's forgot password link to reset your password.

Other Wall Street Journal Access

The Library has full access to the Wall Street Journal archives through ProQuest. We recommend searching in ProQuest for general topics. ProQuest adds subject terms to articles and allows better limiting by date, author and article title.
