The campus Film Studies Center in Cobb Hall has an extensive collection of films for research and teaching. Search Their Catalog

The Digital Media Archive (DMA) holds predominantly audio recordings in over 180 languages and dialects. The archive, which also includes some music and video collections, has especially rich and deep holdings in Mesoamerican languages. The Digital Media Archive (formerly known as the Language Labs & Archives) is located in the basement of the Social Science Research Building.

The Center for the Study of Languages has videos in foreign languages are available for both instructors and students.

The CEAS Film Library comprises over 4,000 titles from China, Japan, and Korea. Films are available for check-out free of charge to any current University of Chicago student, staff, or faculty member.

South Asia Outreach maintains an ever-growing collection of films and audio recordings made in and about South Asia. Faculty and students are welcome to borrow from our film library.
