Finding Books for Your Research

Student looking for books.

The University of Chicago Library has one of the richest collections of books in the world.  The Library holds over 7.7 million volumes in five campus libraries, and provides access to over 380,000 online books.

In addition, our users have access to the collections of libraries around the world through our interlibrary loan service, cooperative borrowing agreements, and reciprocal access policies.

This guide provides an overview of how to find books for your research, at the University of Chicago Library, from other libraries, and online (ebooks).
