To find books at the University of Chicago Library, begin with the Catalog.
You can quickly access the Catalog from the front page of the Library's website. Enter your search terms and select the type of search you would like to use.
Additional features, including an advanced keyword search with limits by format and language, are available by using the full catalog interface.

If you can't find the book you're looking for at one of our libraries, click the "Finding Books at Other Libraries" tab on the left to learn how to request it from another location.
Take your book to the circulation desk at the entrance where a library staff member will check the item out for you (Note: at Mansueto and Special Collections staff member must retrieve your book. You can find instructions on how to request a book a one of these locations here). The circulation desks of our libraries can be found on the maps below:
