How do I find books?

While browsing resources such as WorldCat, PubMed, JSTOR, you may come across the   icon. Click it to find out if it is available at one of our libraries or if it can be requested from another.

Finding Books at Other Libraries

The Library's interlibrary loan service allows you to request books from other libraries and have them sent to the University of Chicago Library. We participate in borrowing agreements with the Big 10 / BTAA (UBorrow) and Ivy Plus institutions (BorrowDirect). However, we can obtain books from other libraries as well.  You can use the catalogs listed below to identify books at other libraries.
