Changes to Mintel authentication

by Business & Economics Librarians on 2025-01-17T16:00:04-06:00 | 0 Comments

Mintel now uses single sign-on for authentication and you'll have to log in with your CNetID and password any time you access the database. This won't seem any different if you are off-campus, but all on campus users will have to log in as well. This makes things more secure for Mintel and eliminates the need to create an individual account if you want to download reports

As a reminder, Mintel's Terms and Conditions still apply

Permissions. You may only

  • Access and save Mintel content for academic and noncommercial pursuits
  • Incorporate selections of content in academic and noncommercial projects so long as you acknowledge Mintel as the source, all subject to your institution’s plagiarism policy
  • Save searches if you create a Mintel account

Prohibitions. You must not

  • Remove or alter any copyright notice
  • Use Mintel content for a commercial purpose
  • Distribute Mintel content other than as permitted under the Permissions above
  • Disclose to certain retailers any point of sale data provided by Information Resources, Inc.
