Announcing access to data from the International Energy Agency

by Business & Economics Librarians on 2024-05-13T14:56:00-05:00 in Business, Economics | 0 Comments

We are pleased to announce that the Library is now providing access to data from the International Energy Agency. The IEA is an international governmental organization dedicated to fostering cooperation in international energy supplies. It collects a great deal of data as part of this work. Much of their data are free to use, but some core parts of it are subscription access. We are now providing access to University of Chicago researchers.

Some key datasets included in our subscription are

  • World Energy Statistics
  • World Energy Balances
  • Greenhouse Gas Emissions from Energy
  • IEA Energy and Carbon Tracker

There are also datasets on Oil, Natural Gas, Coal and Renewables

Update, June 8th

IEA Statistics are now available directly through the proxy server. You can create an individual account, but that is not required.
