Accessing JKM Library

As of May 19, 2023, the physical premises of the JKM Library are closed to users. All of JKM Library's electronic resources, including ebooks and databases, are accessible to current affiliates of Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago (LSTC) or McCormick Theological Seminary (MTS). About half of the print books in in the JKM Library collection are now available through the University of Chicago Library.

Students, faculty, and employees currently affiliated with LSTC and MTS enjoy limited access to the University of Chicago Library spaces and services. Consult the information below for answers to Frequently Asked Questions.

Everyone is welcome to consult the Library’s print and electronic collections by visiting the Library.

Library accounts for new and current LSTC faculty, academics, students, and staff are created and updated automatically. Before you get a UChicago Library Card, you need to claim a CNetID. To claim a CNetID, you will need your ChicagoID number, which you will receive from LSTC or MTS.
