*The team is currently operating at a limited capacity, but is still available for your information needs.*

Helpful Resources

Searching PubMed

Because information is being released rapidly and recently-added citations have not been indexed, some complex strategies are needed for thorough searching in PubMed.

The following search statement can also be copy-and-pasted into the PubMed search box for your own searching:

2019nCoV OR COVID-19 OR 2019-nCoV OR SARS-CoV-2 OR "novel coronavirus" OR "covid 2019" OR "SARS-CoV-19"  OR  “COVID-19”[MeSH] OR "SARS-Cov-2"[MeSH] OR  “severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2” [Supplementary Concept] OR (wuhan[All Fields] AND ("coronavirus"[MeSH Terms] OR "coronavirus"[All Fields])) AND 2019/12[PDAT] : 2030[PDAT] AND english[Filter]

There are new search terms for the variants/mutations of SARS-Cov-2. These are:

20I/501Y.V1, Variant of Concern 202012/01, or B.1.1.7 (UK Variant)
20H/501Y.V2 or B.1.351 (South Africa Variant)

As these variants are new developments, there are only a few articles currently published. Not all of the variant strain terms have articles associated with them yet, but we are including them in a search for future reference. The below search can be used to find articles about the new variants.

("B.1.1.7" OR "B.1.351" OR N501Y OR 501Y OR 501Y.V1 OR 501Y.V2 OR 501.V1 OR 501.V2) AND (2019nCoV OR COVID-19 OR 2019-nCoV OR SARS-CoV-2 OR "novel coronavirus" OR "covid 2019" OR "SARS-CoV-19" OR "COVID-19"[MeSH] OR "SARS-Cov-2"[MeSH] OR "severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2" [Supplementary Concept] OR (wuhan[All Fields] AND ("coronavirus"[MeSH Terms] OR "coronavirus"[All Fields])) AND 2019/12[PDAT] : 2030[PDAT] AND english[Filter])
