Access Factiva
Factiva services are for personal academic use only.
- Downloading data for use in text mining applications or with other automated trend analysis software is not permitted under our license.
- Storage of Factiva data in a shared archive is not permitted.
- Access to Factiva requires manual use of the Factiva interface. Use of scripts or web scraping software is not permitted
Failure to abide by these terms can result in loss of access to Factiva and other electronic resources
Factiva's New Interface
Factiva is developing an updated interface, which will bring more accessibility features and will work with all devices. The interface is live, but all features have not been migrated yet. The new interface supports natural language queries and Boolean operators. Other Factiva search syntax is not available at this time.
The classic interface is still available, access it by clicking the Switch Factiva button near the search box
Click on the "Switch Factiva" button in the banner to return to the new interface.
Automatic Logout after 10 Minutes
We have a limited number of users for Factiva, so there is an automatic logout built into the system. You must actively click or Factiva will log you out after 10 minutes. You will lose any work if that happens, so we recommend opening any articles you are interested in as RTF or PDF documents.
