Finding Magazines in Print or Microfilm

To locate recent issues of magazines, try one of the databases that are listed under Starting Points on this guide. However, many older magazines are only available on print or microfilm. You can locate these using our library catalog, or use our Scan and Deliver service for copies of articles.

If you cannot find the magazines that you need in the Library, you may be able to request specific articles or issues via our interlibrary loan service. We regret that magazines cannot be requested via UBorrow or Borrow Direct.

Is there an index?

Indexes help you locate articles within specific magazines. Many indexes are now available online, but older periodicals may have their own print indexes bound with the magazine (it will be listed in the circulation status within the catalog record).
