Visitors will be given a guest log-in for the University's wireless network upon arrival. Once on the wireless network, visitors can access the Library's online resources, including research databases, online books and journals, and more.

Library Computers

Library computers.

Library computers are available in each campus library. The most computers are located on Regenstein Library's 1st Floor.

Visitors who wish to use the University’s wireless network or Library computers, or who wish to visit for more than a few days should bring a current, government-issued photo ID.

Printing, Copying, and Scanning

Library Printers

Library visitors may print, copy, and scan using Library printers by purchasing guest printing cards for $5 from vending machines on Regenstein's 1st floor and A Level. Once the value on a printing card has been used, visitors will need to purchase a new card. Cards with no remaining value can continue to be used for scanning. For more information, visit printing.uchicago.edu.

Book Scanner

Regenstein’s 3rd floor reading room has an overhead book scanner in the northeast corner (Microforms Collection). Library visitors will need to request a computer login from the Regenstein Circulation desk in order to use scanning equipment. Portable USB drives to save files are available for purchase in a vending machine located on the A Level.
