Research Posters

This guide offers information about content and design support as well as printing resources for your research posters.

Before You Print

In most cases, you will be responsible for printing and transporting your poster to conferences. Poster printing costs are variable and depend on your poster size, backing, and printing turnaround. As such, review your printing checklist a few times before sending your final poster file to the printer.

Printing Checklist

  1. Is your poster sized correctly? Double check the format guidelines for your conference/symposium;
  2. Test print a copy of your poster on an 8 1/2" X 11" sheet of paper to make sure everything is proportional and correct;
  3. Proofread and have somebody else proofread your poster's spelling, grammar, and image quality. Once your poster is printed in a large size, mistakes will be very noticeable;
  4. Give yourself ample room to get your poster printed prior to your conference/symposium. Check the printing schedule with your preferred printer and add a few cushion days.

Printing Support for Undergraduates

Quad Undergraduate Research Conference Grants  support conference participation by current undergraduates in the College who have been accepted to present a poster or deliver an oral presentation at an academic conference. The research presented must have been mentored by a faculty member or other research mentor(s). Please view the College Center for Research and Fellowships website for more information.
