College Alumni

Just because you have graduated from the University doesn't mean that your relationship with the Library has ended!  Even after you graduate, you can still use the University of Chicago Library.

What type of privileges do alumni have?

Alumni have free reference privileges to the Library. That means that you can always use the University of Chicago Library whenever you are on campus. Borrowing and interlibrary loan privileges are available for a quarterly fee.  Learn more about alumni library privileges

Can I use the Library's electronic resources?

Unfortunately, due to our licensing agreements, off-campus access to the Library's databases is available only to current faculty, students and staff.  Learn more about access to online resources. Alumni are welcome to use our resources on-site at our campus libraries.

What other services are available?

Our reference services are always available to U of C graduates.  In addition, our Library workshops are also open to alumni.
