Access Library Resources Off-Campus

Most of the Library's resources require you to authenticate as a UChicago Student. To access our resources:

  1. Use links from the Library web site. These are configured to route you through the proxy server and allow you to authenticate.
     
  2. Use the Proxy It! Bookmarklet. In Chrome, Firefox or Safari, drag this ⇒ ProxyIt! ⇐ link to your bookmarks toolbar.
     
  3. Use the campus VPN

When searching various Library and online sources, the Find It button, when present, can be used to locate an item in the Library Catalog, to gain access to the full-text of an article, or to send interlibrary loan orders for items that the Library does not own.

In some cases, we do not have access at the publisher's site, but the FindIt! service will still point you there. Repeat your search in Articles Plus to find access.
