Introduction

This guide outlines resources to help you locate publications that you may use to conduct your research, including newspapers, industry news publications, academic journals and reports. Each tab recommends databases and guides that are best to begin with for each type of publication.

Class Activity

In class, you will be given publications in different fields.  In small groups, you will review a publication and report back to the class.  Ask yourself the following questions:

  • Who is the audience for this publication?

  • What types of articles are included?

  • Is the journal peer reviewed?

  • Is the research documented?
