Scope of the Collection

The University of Chicago Library maintains a collection of separately published standardized printed instruments utilized in the fields of education and psychology. The collection includes more than 5,600 separately published tests, some dating back to the early twentieth century.  The collection is maintained by the Librarian for Psychology, Education, and Social Service, Paul Belloni.

Accessing the Collection

The materials in the Test Collection are intended for academic research only. No tests may be checked out, photocopied or administered.

To gain access to materials in the collection, appointments are necessary and can be scheduled from noon – 4:30 p.m. Monday – Friday. 

Schedule an appointment.

The Test Collection is serviced by the Maps Collection in Regenstein Library.  Map Collection staff will retrieve the needed tests and make them available for use in room 370.
