Ask a Librarian Chalk Module  

Connect to the Library's Ask a Librarian IM/Chat service directly from Chalk by adding our module to your Chalk homepage.

Login to Chalk.  Under "My Chalk", click on the "Add Module" icon on the left side of your screen. This will open the "Add a Module" screen in Chalk.

The Ask a Librarian modules appear at the top of the list.  There are three options:

1. Ask a Law Librarian: Contacts librarians at the D'Angelo Law Library
2. Ask a Librarian: Our general reference service - all subjects.
3. Ask a Science Librarian: Contacts librarians at the John Crerar Library.

Please Note: You can only have one module on your My Chalk page.  Additional Ask a Librarian modules may cause connection problems.

To add the module, click on the Add icon next to the module you would like on your My Chalk page.

When you return to My Chalk, the module should appear on your home page.  You can move the module any place you would like on the screen.  Just click on the module, drag and drop.
